Good Food/ Service!

Good old school restaurant. It has a great salad bar and all of our food was very good. All of the staff was friendly and the service was good. Will definately be going back.

Great lunch place to go for a break

This is a regular go to place for us. The prime rib is the best around.

I celebrated my PhD this evening in this fine place. happy to tell that it was a cool evening and the venue was absolutely the reason for that outstanding evening. The stuff cooperated in a very nice way, the cooking was tasty and my friends were very overjoyed. We shall surely visit again for more events. thanks very much.

Great local restaurant with great food and service

This was my first time going and it's a very chill environment. Food was delicious. Service was great. Oh and those drinks were the bomb. Ask for a brandy Alexander for dessert, Joe makes the best.

Old school joint with great food done well. There was a live band which made it very hard to have a conversation.

Went there for the first time last night. Did not know what to expect. The food and service were great. The shrimp appetizer was especially delicious. Atmosphere was ok, but food made up for it. Will definitely go back.

Great place and terrific service

Nostalgic vibe, good friendly service, delicious food. For a space that has an adjacent bar/lounge area with live music, this past Saturday nite, talent was PERFECT; the type of music that could be enjoyed also by the dining-only crowd.Great time. Great owners & family!

I agree that this place is a little pricey. But the food and service are good enough it keeps me coming back.

We thought we'd give Saban's a shot because it had good ratings. At first, we thought we'd made a mistake - the establishment itself is unimpressive and the dinner rolls tasted like store-bought brown 'n serve rolls. However, the steaks were AMAZING - perfectly cooked and seasoned - no steak sauce required. Fish and chips and Cajun-style catfish were also very good. Definitely would recommend. Had to give Saban's five stars because the entrees earned them all by themselves.

The prime rib on Friday & Saturday nights is worth the trip and our personal server, Alyssa, is a sweetheart, always professional and personable. Too bad management can't order consistently a supply of baked clams as every other visit, they dont have them, and the reply that "weather conditions" made cause is growing old.

The food is outstanding and love that they have a salad bar. The atmosphere is like being at a supper club. A must try for dinner!

Was told salad bar had a big variety.......it didn't it had old salad watered down salad dressing cucumbers sitting in oil cottage cheese and olives and Brown pudding yeah that's a big variety then I ordered fish and chips and hot wing appetizers wings were old wings from the jewel osco deli fish wash greasy and no flavor and the chips were a entire potato sliced thin like homemade potato chips and they was burnt so don't bother with this place

Definitely an old school steak house. On the original old Route 66. The very last place on the right East of Route 45. A family owned and operated steak house with everything fresh and prepared by family. Staff apparently are hired and just become family. Regular customers know that they love this place and keep coming back week after week. Expect to pay approximately $30.00 for your entree.One of the very last family owned old Route 66 establishments still around in the original location. Everything is exactly as it was originally. Historical maybe but definitely a peek into the past.

I frequent this special restaurant many times since I enjoy the special atmosphere that is exist in this restaurant. The team is exceptionally welcoming and skilfull. The service is certainly efficient. Most important, the food they serve is perfect. I frequent more than once and I was always joyful. The cost is fair. I highly recommend this place to to all.

They are the best restaurants in all of ChicagoLand. Great service friendly waitress’s and you can’t beat the drinks and the reasonable prices.

Good food, bordering on great. The service was prompt & friendly . Full bar, decent salad bar. Limited wine selections but you will get your money's worth here.

The ambiance is a miss, but the food is a big hit. Absolutely delicious. And generous servings. Also you can bring your own wine with a $10 corkage fee. Wednesdays are no fee.

I have become a regular and the food is always prepared well. If he cannot get the food fresh, he will remove from menu. Always good.

Typical neighborhood place... Regulars stare you down as you walk in making you feel we're uncomfortable. Sit down, look over the menu and they don't even have what's on special... Was indecisive about shrimp vs. cheeseburger... Do NOT pay the $28 for the shrimp it's not worth it. Large shrimp should taste like shrimp! Waitresses were nice that's about the only plus ... This place used to be the best... What happened?!?!

I discovered this place about 15 years ago been going ever since they have the best Walleye I've ever had, among many other dishes. Ribs, Fried Chicken, chops, steaks, Burgers, a prime rib that is delicious. Highly recommend trying this very casual Pub like restaurant and Tavern

Go back into a genuine supper club atmosphere and feel the warmth of the hostess as you dine on some of the best prime rib found outside the Chicago city limits. Manhattans and Old Fashioneds flow while walleye and trout dance on full platters. It's an incredible restaurant that you never heard of, rumored to have some of the best baby back ribs as well. Bring your best feast mode cuz the warm bread is hard to keep your hands off before the main fare.

If you like walleye it's the place to go. Ribs, prime rib and hamburgers are also top notch. One of the best suburban restaurants around.

The food and service were both great. Very old school restaurant makes it really cool. It's sad to see them lose business due to the closure of a section of Joliet Rd.

This place reminds me of where my parents would go as a kid. The food is top notch!
